|
|
The more reviews you make, the more stars you get. This does not count posts anywhere else besides the literary forums, and does not count new topics.
Below is a listing of the stars you will receive per number of reviews:
For Yellow Stars:
5 Reviews = 1 Star
25 Reviews = 2 Stars
75 Reviews = 3 Stars
150 Reviews = 4 Stars
250 Reviews = 5 Stars
For Blue Stars:
350 Reviews = 1 Blue Star, 4 Yellow Stars
450 Reviews = 2 Blue Stars, 3 Yellow Stars
550 Reviews = 3 Blue Stars, 2 Yellow Stars
And so on and so forth
For Red Stars:
850 Reviews = 1 Red Star, 4 Blue Stars
950 Reviews = 2 Red Stars, 3 Blue Stars
And so on and so forth
At 1,250 reviews, you max out with 5 red stars. If a lot of people start hitting that in the future (doubtful methinks... 1,250 reviews is A LOT), we can start adding purple stars or something like that.
The above system enables new users to gain stars relatively quickly, but rewards those who review over a longer period of time. |

I love the stars a lot more than the Xs...This is actually a really good way to judge peoples validity in a way, because really if someone is just critiquing with a lot of short responses, they aren't going to be doing a lot as it is?
And I already want to critique more....Hee hee hee. It'll be weird getting used to these big things under my Avi though....
But I still really, really love this new feature. |

With the rest of the stuff, it's in the list to the left. Gender, age, joined date, posts, and then reviews. So look over there.

| Oh, cool; but still, how does YWS recognize what is a review and what isn't? *thats kind of what i was trying to get at* |

All it's doing is counting the number of posts you have made in the literary forums minus any topics you started in the literary forums.
So this does count replies to critiques. But since it's the same for everyone, I'm not concerned. If I were to fix it to count only one of your posts from each topic you posted in, I would just reduce the number of reviews needed to get stars. |

| I like the idea, Nate. I just hope the quality of the reviews doesn't drop as members vie to get a greater ranking. |
