It's here! The new YWS design! In it you'll find...

- Improved Navigation
- A new section: Resources
- A flash login
- New PM box when you have messages
- Good looking graphical design

The Resources section is very empty right now, so I strongly encourage users to start filling it up! Anyone can do so!

If you were using anything besides the default template, then you will have to switch over manually. The new theme is simply called "Default."

And some questions you may have...

Can I switch back?

Yes. Just go to "My YWS" then "Preferences." Scroll on down to "Templates" and change it back to "YWS Light."

Are all the old templates going to stay the same?

Yes. Nothing is going to be changed to the old templates except for a link to Resources.

Can I report bugs?

Of course! If you find a bug, please post it here instead of PMming me. That way other people will be able to see that the bug has already been reported.

Looking nice, Nate. I'll be sure to start writing up some stuff once finals are done.

Looks brilliant Nate!

Slight bug: on the Blogs News Page, the new tabs at the top stretch out from one another, leaving blue gaps between them. Something to do with the fact that on the Blogs News page the whole YWS "window" increases in width to accomodate the blog titles properly. So yeah it's kind of screwed up the new graphics!

It's so funky!!!

I really like it, great design and easy navigation, you guys should get a medal or something!!

Good idea to have an 'about' on the toolbar as well, would have been super handy when I was new....

Glad to hear everyone is looking it so far! I figured it was about time YWS got a face-lift.

The Blog News page does need to be fixed; I'll try working on it tonight. Also need to flesh out the About section more. I want to add a drop-down menu for that with, "Contact & Staff," "Rules & Guides," and "FAQ."

Noticed the fix for the blog section (I like) but now the title of the blog post is small, and the "currently" section is too large for what it should be, it looks odd.

Also, ever since you added "rating" on the "new posts" page (or what ever it is called) the titles are kind of small and scrunched, as well. plus the ratings don't even show up. ummm I think that's all I have to complain about xD

I love the face lift!

Whoops, I sent Nate a PM.

FYI: PM system has a bug which doesn't let you attach anything.

Error: Template->make_filename(): Error - file ./templates/iCGtest/posted_attachments_body.tpl does not exist

Pfft. Is that all you can throw at me?

Blogs page fixed. Got rid of the "currently" data.

Also got rid of topic ratings in the search results page. This is something I would still like to do eventually, but it'll have to wait until I can figure out how to do it (the search file is the most complicated piece of code).

And you should be able to attach stuff in PMs.

Updated the About section with more links, and made a very crude rounded search box. I like it, but I'm not sure if I like the color.

The search box is cute ^_^ I like the color, it "fits". And it looks great all together.

Some random suggestions that really have nothing to do with the layout change...perhaps new/more emoticons? They're so fun. Or more "moods" for blogs? Sometimes I can't find the one I want, so I pick none or one that doesn't work...

I'm not even sure if you can do anything about the blog one xD oh well.

EDIT: *gasp* you changed the search bar color! I like the colorful blue better than the grayish blue...

There's two Register icons on the top bar before you log in.

Is this purposeful?

Looks good otherwise. Smile

haha, yes Razz

The two register buttons are placements for "My YWS" and "Messages."
