| *sniff* You all make me feel really slow. Last time I took the test (last week in my computer applications class) I got a 66 WPM and 3 mistakes. I'm the fastest in my class by far! Everyone is envious of my "skills", whatever those are. And yet, I seem to be the slowest here! Maybe I should practice my typing after I figure out how to write a titch neater. lol |

I wouldn't call that a very accurate picture of my typing skills actually. I'm rather bad at copying things, and have a lower accuracy at something like that, versus what I normally can do just from my own head. I can go pretty fast and pretty accurately, but definately much more so when it's something I'm just putting down rather than copying while timed. XD
Anyhow, I never really mastered typing the "official" way. I guess even there I had to do my own thing. |
I have to agree...I always do horribly at these typing tests when I'm copying their own material, but I type at about 90 wpm with hardly any errors when I am typing from my own mind. . I got 75 WPM...with 47 errors. Bah. Errors are an illusion. |

Bleh. If these tests would stop using words I don't know life would be a lot easier.
65 WPM with 3 mistakes. I'm usually way better. |

Test: Wizard of Oz
46 wpm
5 errors
Net: 44 wpm
96% accuracy |

I only did the first one.
I was 63 WPM, with no errors.
It's definitely easier to type without having to write a paragraph that is pre-written. Like, if I were just free writing, I'd probably type faster and would still take care to make sure I'm not making any errors. But I still enjoy taking these tests =] |
