Henry fired his bow with the golem's mouth inches from the feathers of Alden's head.

It was a good shot, slamming through the space of darkness and into the back of its throat (if it had one). Whether or not the shot was painful, the Golem stumbled backwards, dropping Alden. The Griffon barely had time to land well, and he fell heavily against the ground, half-flying, half-limping to dodge the statue's counter-attack.

Valin seemed furious beside Henry. "We have to do something rather than just stand here dying!!" he screamed.

Seraph, dazed from his blow, got up, dodging another blow from the Golem, as most of the party formed a protective ring around Alden and Adrian. "We got beat it with normal means!"

Henry almost laughed. "So it's think outside the box time?" the thief said, throwing himself to one side and flanking the Golem, though his fired bolt simply deflected off.

"Heavy things fall quicker," muttered Cyrus, wounded by a heavy blow.

"WATCH OUT!" Finn screamed as the Golem threw himself forward, smashing the stone floor. Debris flew everywhere, some hitting Henry. The thief backflipped backwards, but one of the stones hit him on the end and he fell to the side, rubbing his head. The rest of the party had scattered to avoid the sudden onslaught.

"The cliff! If we can tempt it over the side, it won't be able to save itself!" Seraph shouted.

"Aye, laddie," Cyrus shouted back. "Just what I was thinkin'."

As they tried to protect the injured members of the party, they stole a few glances at once another. The intent was clear. How?

Alden landed on his paws, but only for a moment, he heard Seraph and Cyrus. He came up with a plan quickly.

Alden moved at a very quick speed. With a leap, he jumped towards the nearest column. Meanwhile, Seraph, Cyrus, and Henry moved closer to the edge where the bridge was.

Alden leaped from the column and flew for the back of the golem. He landed on target and scrambled up the golems back. The golem reached for Alden but Alden was just out of reach. Alden climbed up to the golems head, and then scratched at the golems eyes. The golem fell forward. They began to fall down the shaft.

Alden jumped off the back of the golem and opened his wings, to begin the flight back to the others.
