Oh, I always have endings first. I suck at beginnings; I never know how to start the story.

For the book I wrote in 6th grade, the last line was the first thing I came up with. Very Happy

This is the first time EVER that I actually have an ending for a story, lol! I actually have a lot planned out, but I'm so terrified that I won't be able to fill it out like I want to. So I'm really trying to get through the snowflake method for outlining so I can actually get scenes down and create a word range for each scene, you know?

As for sharing (hey, so I'm a few pages late), I'll definitely share mine - AFTER I'm done, and IF I win. See, I fight all November long to keep my inner editor silenced (although since Saphirus isn't going to be doing anything else for the month, I think he'll be keeping guard with his nice sword), so if others are critiquing my work WHILE I'm writing it, I'll probably spend half the month just going back and editing. And that would be bad.

Ooh - I have an idea for a story, Actually, tis the first ever novel idea I came up with. I only have a handful of characters and a bit of plot, but the world its set in (especially the technology) is pretty good.

I doubt I'll do any plotting for it though Wink. I'll just write what comes to me.

Oy, I want to see Crysi's. ^_^

Well, I'm excited for it. This will be my first year; I'm a newbie to the whole thing. I have a rough idea and I've already started a basic outline. I'm still figuring out the plot, pulling kinks and knots-trying to make sense of the whole thing. It's called 'Awkward Silence'. Thrilling, yes.

Joy: I'm a newbie to Nano too Very Happy but so excited!

I suck at beginnings, but I always come up with them first because they're so hard and will set the pace/outlook of the rest of the novel.

11 days I think it is...not counting today. woohoo!

i work backwards as well, much easier and more fun. it makes it possible to add lots of foreshadowing and it's much simpler to see the proper way to form the character throughout the story.

i'm sooo not prepared for nanowrimo. i have about 7 index cards with some characters and a plot...that's it. ah!

I'm not sure what comes easiest. I haven't done much that has given good results (nothing satisfies me)

But back to Nano...

I've said it thousands of times now, but, I'm scared. I just saw the prestige, and when ever I see real good movies I want to write a good book. It makes me want a more layered plot, a big, huge plot twist at the end. BUT I DON'T KNOW ANY! *cries* I can't do those things like that. Plots are so difficult! How do you make them good?

Ah, but the trying and failing miserably is always fun to watch- all sorts of corny societal issues were raised after watching 'Pocahontas' when I was maybe seven...fun things, indeed.

I've never won NaNo. I've got my plot on one of these message boards, but I won't tell you which one.

If anyone wants to read the story afterwards, I'll let you. If you promise to edit it, too!

It's easiest for me to write a beginning and an end. It's all that middle stuff that gets sticky and everything. But I hope to actually get somewhere. I'm always afraid that I've done too much planning or not enough planning.

I've been creating my world for a while, but it doesn't feel real enough to actually use in the story. I have ocean currents, weather patterns, races and everything. It just seems so dead to me. I even have a 100-year timeline! Years and "AD" or "BC" like date endings. But it still feels dead!

I hope it'll get better the more I do my world.

...Ocean currents? Weather patterns?....what are you writing!? I'm not putting that much into my first draft, I'm leaving out all the complications like time eras or years or events that would be taking place that I should probably add for realism.....Laughing
