    Good morning!

Glad to see soemone has an idea of decenet literature.
Not that i dislike J.K.Rowling, she just gets way too much credit for an okay book, simply becuase it's easy to read.

The weather's been lovely here: sunny and wam as befits a joyous Spring. ^_^ And though I can appreciate the warmth - I've long been looking forward to it - I find myself missing the rain. I envy its presence in The Great [No Longer] White North. Nothing quite so conducive to dreaming deep as the rain. For that matter, nothing quite so conducive to letter-writing: forgive my tardiness, I'm trying to wait until the end of the month, when class sets me free and I can actually write the response that your writings deserve.

Which is to say that I did receive the little package, along with the intact and infinitely interesting book. I've only managed glances through it now and again, courtesy of a gruesome academic schedule, but I look forward to reading it the whole way through. Haha, and I quite like the calendar. I shall not scold you; it's honestly and sincerely wonderful. Sitting here on my desk as we speak. As it is, I've generally such an obsession with the Old Country that even a jar of dirt from within its borders would be welcome. [That was half a joke. Calendars are better than dirt. ^_~]

Yes, please do believe me when I say that I thoroughly enjoyed your writings. But I do know where you're coming from, with anxiety: I can show anyone my writing, and am immediately overcome with regret and the firm conviction that they will think less of me after they read it. Which is a foolish thought, on both of our parts. 'Tis grand! I will comment more upon it, of course, in the soon-to-be letter, and may just screw up enough courage to send you some of my own little snippets of literary insanity...

Dovidenje (or is there a Balkan form of 'pakah'?)...

    All my best!

What can I say? I've been reading the scattered chapters and plot points you sent Penn-wards. ^^ [Some of my own to be headed northwards in reciprocation, hopefully sooner rather than later.]

Ah, but the weather's been disappointing lately. Lots of rain and wind. I would wish you more pleasant weather in Toronto, but my sources from the Great White North tell me that the weather's more than slightly insane up there at the moment.

An early Khristos Voskres, moja drug(?)! And all my very best wishes for the Easter season.

I'm doing great! We've got bunches of snow here (everyone says it's the worst winter since '82), so I really want to go out and build a snowman. Stupid school's eating me alive, though. Rolling Eyes I got a job at our library, too! I'm *duhduhduhduh* shelving books, and I absolutely love my job. Sometimes it gets boring, and there's some days I just don't want to work, but I get money, and that'll help with writing/college. Awesomeness, right? Very Happy

How're you? So glad you're back! *tacklehugs*

And a [belated] Happy New Year to you as well, my friend!

... You mean your mind actually survived an excursion into that vast wasteland of scattered thought that is my livejournal? You must have neurons of steel, Dan. Razz In any event, I would absolutely love to hear about said Ruskee-induced tension; perhaps it is cheating, but I always find it easier to portray internal turmoil when there is a backdrop of societal turmoil paralleling the dissent. Even if I can't drag my characters kicking and screaming all the way up to '91, haha. Perhaps I will be able to get on MSN at some point this week? Scratch 'perhaps', I will make it a point to get on MSN. Even despite the all-consuming and somewhat rabid clutches of uni, I've missed talking with you immensely.

Will be waiting earnestly, of course, for the letter. I feel utterly and endlessly guilty for having not managed to reply, but I'm trying to turn over a new leaf as far as punctuality goes, so hopefully this next letter will actually have a timely response. Very much looking forward to the stories and the philosophy, and will be sure to send you some of my own in return.

Viel glück with the exams! And thank you, so much.

You'll have an uprising in the Balkans within about fifteen minutes, I'd wager. I'll um... you know. Flee to nice vodkafied Russia and let you deal with it. Wink

And you're quite welcome for the card. ^_^

Expect a package to trail on in after it, haha. Any day now, hopefully...

You know, I read that and thought of that infamous all-night writing spree from Hell - you recall it? We stayed up 'til three in the morning, chatting on MSN in between random fits and starts of The Chair. (To be honest, I think I'm still recovering from the mass amounts of coffee intake). In any event, I messaged you the next morning to apologize for the rambling nature of the previous night's 'caffiene-high'. You said something about being high on life, and in the end, we concluded that a caffiene-high plus a Dan-high is a disasterous combination. ^_^

...Just wait 'til the Council gets to Europe:

Dan-highs! Caffiene-highs! Defective frappucino machines! Trotskyites!

    MASS HYSTERIA!
