Griffinkeeper: Don't think of it as a story. Think of it as a draft. When you have finished editing your draft to your satisfaction, then and only then does it become a story. I dislike the current draft and I gave you some suggestions as to why I didn't like it.Writing a story isn't about typing it up. It is about typing it up, reading it over, marking it up, then rewriting it. After the rewrite, you read it over again and mark it up, then you rewrite it again. You repeat the process until there is absolutely nothing wrong, then you show to other people, who read it, mark it up, then give it back to you. This can happen hundreds of times before you can get a finished product. The story of a story isn't about the first draft, but the progression to the final draft.
