Nate: So apparently the Notifications page is the second most popular area of the site after the homepage. I guess that means I should try to improve that area; I had no idea it was anywhere close to being that popular.
Rosey Unicorn: I check notifications about 10 times a day. I guess other people do the same.

Umm, well when I went to the notifications area there were two notifis but I had to go so I didn't see what they were & when I logged in again, they were gone. Is there anyway to know what they were again?

Jagged: Conversations don't flow quite as well in threads as in chat, I find. Less spontaneous. Also not as nice for procrastination purposes. YMMV, I guess.

Snoink: So, Nate. Basically, I was just thinking about ages... do you realize that we don't round up with our ages? We may be two days away from our birthdays, and yet we would still say that we are the old age. The chemistry teachers who taught me about significant figures would probably be freaking out by now.

Nate: Haha, but it differs by age! When you're 10, you're never 10. Instead, you're 10 and a half, or 10 and three-quarters, or 10 but really 11. Then by the time you're 22, you're definitely always 22 until the day you turn 23. By the time you're 50, you're not 50 until the precise second of your birth 50 years earlier. By the time you're 100... you lost count.

Snoink: Maybe YOU were ten and a half, but, at that time, my parents ABUSED ME and, if I said I was ten and a half, then it would be lesson time on the importance of fractions. Torture, I say! So I always said I was ten. Or, if I was feeling rebellious, almost 11.
Still, it does vary from person to person. I think Rush Limbaugh's ex-wife, Martha, said that since she was conceived nine months before she was born, it was only logical for her to celebrate her birthday for nine months, complete with gifts and cake every single day. They finally compromised and she celebrated a birth month. Still! A good excuse for gifts and cake, no?
We should have cake on YWS's next birthday. And celebrate it nine months in advance.
