OHHHH!!! No wonder it looked so familiar! I've read Eragon, sorta in the processes of reading Eldest. Sorta, beacuse until I stop taking home so much homeworks....

It's Alagaesia, if you have read Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Trilogy that is where it takes place
here are the titles of the two books that are out:
