Instructor / Greeter Application Form

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Greeter or Instructor at the Young Writers Society. A short description of each follows. As Junior Moderators and Moderators are nominated by their peers, you cannot apply for those positions.

Greeter: A greeter is very active, especially in the Welcome forum. They should take the time to introduce themselves to new users, although certainly not every single new user! Greeters are the first members that a new member will meet, and are thus responsible for answering any initial questions.

Instructor: An instructor routinely takes the time to critique submissions, publish writing tips, and may even offer an online class here at YWS. In short, instructors go above and beyond in helping others to improve their writing.

Guidelines For Applying

  • Respect the Moderators and Site Admins.
  • Restrict foul language to where it belongs: in Literature.
  • Do not flame other members.
  • Be very nice and patient with new members.
  • Be active. It doesn't matter where, although it certainly counts for more if you're active in the Literary forums rather than the Community forums.
  • Help others

Remember, your application may be denied, and there's a greater chance of that happening if you don't follow the above guidelines. Also, keep in mind that you can only become a Greeter or Instructor after one month of being on YWS.

I'm sorry, but you must be logged in to apply.
